- Remind Is an app/website that makes it safe for you to text your class. It is a one way channel. You never have to give out your phone number and you don’t have to have your students or parents number. You can also add attachments onto you text messages. A quick and easy way to communicate and send out reminders to your class that is free. Co-founded by @brettkopf (a MSU Alum!) This app is great for communicating with families that do not have easy access to internet or smart phones for email.
- Creative Commons allows you to find digital content that you can share, use and remix. It enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Creative Commons licenses work alongside copyright. In other words, this is where you can find content that is legal for you to use (i.e.: an image for a school project).
- Blendspace This web based tool can be used to support the blended classroom, flipped classroom, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction. This tool allows you to house various links, videos, images, and documents in one common space. You can find some Dot Day drawings KA did here.
